What is Unix?

Unix and Linux are often used interchangeably, when in fact they're slightly different. Linux is what most people use - it's available on most computers for everyday use. Linux is open source software, so everyone can use it, and the community is able to edit the software too. Unix, on the other hand, has different licensing and is mainly used for enterprises, not for community/public use
